Pop Up Prints
Description
Pop Up Prints is a research project exploring inflatable structures and experimental fabrication processes. Unlike the traditionally fabrication, the process utilizes the up to 300°C hot nozzle of a 3D printer to laminate layers of elastic TPU foil together. Developing distinct geometries and parametric patterns through an iterative design process opened up the possibilities of using this 2D production process to create objects that emerge into 3D shapes when inflated.
